Below is a list of events that our Eta Psi Chapter participates in that give back to our surrounding community. If you have any suggestions of anymore organizations we can collaborate with, please feel free to email us!

Haunted Student CenterThe Haunted Student Center is an event held by Rowan University's Chamberlain Student Center. This event provides a safe environment for local elementary school students to come trick-or-treat in the various themed rooms operated by various organizations and clubs. We join forces every year with the Elementary Education Club.

Pajama PartyPajama Party is an event held every Fall Semester. Our Chapter invites local elementary school students to Rowan University for a holiday themed literacy event. This event encourages students to pursue and embrace literacy before their winter break. Students participate in arts & crafts activities, read a story based on the theme, and then watch the corresponding movie.

Literacy AliveLiteracy Alive is an event held every Spring semester. Our chapter invites local elementary school students to come to Rowan University for a fun night full of literacy and education. Students get to participate in various activities, involving mathematics, science, physical education, reading/writing, and arts & crafts with literacy integrated into each activity.

Relay for LifeRelay for Life events are cancer fundraising events that bring together communities to fight against cancer. In April 2013, our members created a team for "Relay for Life." Eta Psi raised over $1,000 to donate to the American Cancer Society. For more information: http://www.relayforlife.org/

Mtaala FoundationMtaala Foundation is a local non-profit organization called the Mtaala Foundation that our chapter donates to. This is an organization out of Cherry Hill, New Jersey that raises money in order to build schools and bring literacy to students in Uganda. We hold events, such as bake sales, pretzel sales, and movie nights in order to raise money for this foundation. For more information: http://www.mtaala.org/

National Teachers Hall of FameWe recently began raising money to donate to the National Teacher's Hall of Fame. This organization is collecting money in order to build a memorial for teachers who have lost their lives while serving in their profession. The memorial will be located in Emporia, Kansas.
