Professional Development Chapter Program Award 2014
Throughout the year, KDP offered several types of professional development opportunities, which allowed us to better ourselves as future teachers. This year, current teachers, principals, and even a police officer have come in to increase our knowledge about what we may encounter in the field. Because of this, we were one of 9 recipients to win!
Distinguished Chapter Officer Award 2014
Congratulations to former VP of Membership Lauren Mcvey, who was 1 of the 7 recipients of the Distinguished Chapter Officer Award! She went above and beyond in her position in order to ensure that KDP events ran smoothly. Her leadership, dedication, and hard work make her an inspiration for all KDP members. Congratulations, Lauren! You will be missed next year, but we can’t wait to see what you accomplish in the future!
Recognition of Our Chapter at Convocation
Achieving Chapter Excellence (ACE): Our Eta Psi Chapter recently received the Achieving Chapter Excellence Award at our Biennial Convocation in Dallas, Texas in October 2013. This award is given to chapters who exhibit outstanding programming that demonstrate Kappa Delta Pi's mission and strategic goals. Our chapter has also been recognized for Achieving Chapter Excellence in 2011.
Texas Challenge: Before attending Convocation, our chapter donated $1,000 to the Texas Challenge. This money helps fund the KDP Educational Foundation. There were 6 chapters out of 609 chapters that donated; we were one of the six!
