What is Kappa Delta Pi?
Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) is an International Honor Society in Education. KDP was founded on March 8, 1911 at the University of Illinois by their Education club. It has been a co-ed organization since its inception. John Dewey, Jean Piaget, Howard Gardner, Eleanor Roosevelt, George Washington Carver, and Albert Einstein are well-known members of Kappa Delta Pi. Kappa Delta Pi has over 609 devoted chapters worldwide, with a total of 18,000+ members. KDP's members are the top 20% of educators in the country, which includes educators in all stages of their careers: undergraduate and graduate students, novice and practicing teachers, administrators, college professors, and retirees.
